II. A Philosophy of Conscious Movement
Life isn’t lived in a straight line - It moves in cycles - Every relationship, every challenge, every season, every beginning and every ending invites us into another cycle of becoming - SPLAR is a philosophy of conscious movement through those cycles.
SELF • PRESENCE • LAND • ARRIVE • RISE
SELF is the foundation - Because through life, Self can become covered by roles, expectations, noise, history, fear, other people’s perceptions and even our own learned narratives.
-
PRESENCE — I see where I am - Not continually looking back at what was or rushing forward into what might be, but becoming aware of Self here, now, in this moment.
-
LAND — I return to my body - I reconnect with my body and what is actually present within me. Not yesterday. Not tomorrow. Here.
-
ARRIVE — I become aware - I begin to see what belongs to me and what doesn’t. What needs my attention, what asks for my participation and what can simply be allowed to pass.
-
RISE — I live as I - I choose. I move. I explore. I grow. I live with a greater awareness of I — while allowing others the same freedom I ask for myself.
And then life moves again.
Another relationship. Another challenge. Another season. Another beginning or ending.
Another cycle.
SPLAR isn’t about fixing ourselves. .
It is remembering that I was already here.
SELF is the foundation, but it is not something we complete and leave behind.
I move through the entire SPLAR cycle.
And each time the cycle moves, we have another opportunity to see where we are, become present to what is, and consciously
LAND • ARRIVE • RISE again.
If something within these words has resonated with you, I invite you to walk beside me as we begin this journey together.
Will you walk with me?
